Introduction

Alternative energy is a topic of great interest in a world where global climate change and dwindling fossil fuel reserves are realities. In general, alternative energy refers to energy sources that are thought to be renewable and/or have low (or lower than conventional energy sources) in carbon emission. Some specific examples include wind, biomass, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric and nuclear. This research guide will provide links to resources that will help the user who wants to do research in this subject area.
